This bubbly and beautiful girl is about 2 years old and is more than ready to find her forever home.

Pinky is quite the intelligent pup. She will do most anything for some food or treats, which will work in your favor when training her. She is housebroken and does great in her kennel. If you have an active lifestyle, Pinky is the ideal companion to join you on all your adventures.

With her high energy levels, she’ll happily run, play fetch and enjoy any outdoor activities you have in mind. Pinky also adores cuddling up with her human.

Bell
Bell Teryn Jones Special to The Star

Bell

Breed: Labrador retriever

Age: 5 years old

Bell is a sweet soul looking to settle down and enjoy the rest of her life with a loving family.

Wayside took Bell in from a puppy mill situation in May. At the time, Bell did not have many dog skills. Leashes, walking through hallways/doorways or anything new would be something scary or unknown. However, she has gotten so brave after being put through the Confidence College program at the Canine Behavior Center.

With positive interactions and encouragement, she’s learned that everything will be OK and she can be brave and explore. She warms up to people who give her time to be brave, and they are rewarded with kisses. She is quite the couch potato, and enjoys lounging around while getting some pets. She still is nervous around new sights and sounds, but a patient adopter looking for an easy companion would really love having this sweetheart around. Please call 816-986-4426 if you’d like to give Bell the home she so very much deserves.

Roxie
Roxie Macey Franko Special to The Star

Roxie

Breed: Domestic medium hair

Age: 11 years old

This gorgeous girl is looking for her forever home. Roxie’s owner loved her very much, but that pet owner’s health declined to the point where the kitty was unable to be cared for any longer.

Roxie comes off as shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she is your best friend. You’ll get all the cuddles, pets and hugs once she’s settled. She’s also a big fan of being brushed, which comes in handy with the longer hair. She was truly a pampered princess and deserves nothing but the best.

She is looking for a calm, quiet home to settle into and spend the rest of her days in. Being in a shelter after living in a home for so long can be hard, so Roxie is ready for her next chapter.
