Freckles

Age: 1 year old

Breed: Domestic shorthair mix/tortoiseshell

Meet the staff and volunteer favorite: Freckles. She has recently transitioned from her foster home back to the shelter, and is enjoying a nice big room to window-watch all day. She’s a great mix of independent and loving.

You’ll often find Freckles lounging in her favorite chair. She’s out of that kitten age and can be left alone, but she still loves to play. Her foster mom reports that she can play fetch with her toy mouse, and will even bring it back to her and run after it.

Freckles does prefer a quieter home and dislikes loud noises, so she prefers an adults-only household. She might need a few days to get adjusted to you, the sights, and the smells, but she promises she can be an easy, relaxed cat with a lot of love to give.

Gunner

Age: 3 years old

Breed: American bulldog mix

Are you ready for the sweetest man in town? Look no further than Gunner. He is a happy, well-mannered, laid-back guy who loves to take on the world at his own pace. He’s a sensitive soul, so he will thrive in a positive, encouraging environment. It’s super easy to walk Gunner: He’s a gem on his leash. He does like fun, appropriate play with dogs like him, or he is happy to coexist.

Gunner is also potty-trained, and not to keep bragging, but his “shake” is the best you’ve ever seen. He is so gentle, and looks like a little businessman making deals. Gunner has had so much instability in his life already, he really is looking forward to settling in with a family to celebrate all those big wins with you.
