Stephan

Age: 5 years old

Breed: Pit bull terrier mix

Stefan has stolen the heart of everyone at Melissa’s Second Chances. It’s all about his good looks and even better butt wiggles. He can take a few minutes to warm up to new people, and definitely warms up to women faster than men, but once he knows you he is all yours.

He loves being around his person and would love if your world revolved around him, but he knows sometimes that isn’t possible. He enjoys taking naps on beds and sitting outside with you on cool evenings. He likes the company of other dogs but is still figuring out how to play with them.

He would do best with another doggy friend in the home to keep teaching him all the fun things being a dog entails. He has never been around cats before so we are unsure how he would do. Small children would probably be too high energy for him.

Precious

Age: 3 years old

Breed: Pit bull terrier mix

Precious is such a sweet name for a goofy, silly, playful and athletic dog. Precious is the perfect mix of high energy and ultimate chill: She is ready for adventures, but will curl up next to you on the couch after a long day of activities.

She’s been taking full advantage of the great training programs Wayside has to offer. She’s learned lots of new techniques to harness her energy, and she is learning manners and basic life skills that will help her adjust to life in her new environment. Precious is smart and eager to please, so get those training treats ready.

She loves walks, and she really enjoys that one-on-one time with her people. She loves playing with her favorite toys and splashing around in the water. She’s looking for a home with another high energy, tolerant dog to help her burn off her energy.

Momma

Age: 3 years old

Breed: Domestic shorthair mix

Momma is a small queen who knows what she wants. She’s more on the independent side, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want cuddles and snuggles. She can be shy at first.

If you are patient with her, she can be your very best friend. Momma is FIV-positive, but that doesn’t slow her down. This just means she needs to go to the vet regularly and be up to date on all vaccines. She can still live a long and happy life. She’s ready to make you plenty of biscuits, keep an eye out for birds at the windows, and be your lap cat whenever your schedules align. We hope you give her the chance to be your best friend.
