Iris
Breed: Shepherd mix
Age: 7 months old
Iris is reserved, but sweet and polite. Once she gets to know you, she showcases her fun and cuddly side.
She was transferred to Wayside from a rural shelter in Mississippi, and it was a very scary and confusing experience for her. Still just a pup, Iris has gone through a lot. Her foster parents knew that with patience and time, making Iris feel safe and special would be the key to her success. She has a strong bond with her foster dad, and they curl up on the sofa together.
Iris gets along with the resident dog, and should go home with another confident dog who can continue to show her the ropes of life. She loves running and playing in the backyard. Iris has also done well with the resident cat, and takes naps with the kitty. She’s a simple girl searching for a peaceful and safe life with people she can love.
Iris is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet her, please contact Wayside Adoptions at 816-986-4426.

Bon-Bon
Breed: Domestic shorthair/tortie
Age: 2 years old
Are you ready for a sweet treat? Meet Bon-Bon. She has the prettiest golden eyes.
She came to Wayside all the way from Texas. At first, she would hide in her kennel, even though she wanted to be social. She needed time to adjust to new places and people, and that can be difficult in the shelter environment.
Her foster dad became her closest friend, so he decided to bring her home until she found her family. We’ve learned that Bon-Bon has the cutest chirp and loves to talk. She has happy tippy-taps on her feet when she’s happy, and she is learning all about what play is. She’s looking for a calm home with an easygoing routine.
She’s been unsure of her next steps for so long, but she is brave enough to go on the best and final adventure. Bon-Bon is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet her, please contact Wayside Adoptions at 816-986-4426.
