Take your pick: The cat’s a conversationalist and the dog loves to play and snuggle
April
Breed: Domestic shorthair/tabby
Age: 1 year old
Meet the bravest of girls. April came from Little Rock, Arkansas, in search of a new life and some Midwest hospitality. She’s a social butterfly. She’ll stay by your side all day if you let her. She loves to interact with people, explore and play with toys. Her favorite toy is a wand toy, which she could chase for hours.
But don’t worry, she has time for cuddle sessions, too. She makes regular visits to our sun room and enjoys window-watching and bird-gazing. She hopes you have some big windows for her to sit by. April also has a lovely voice to chat away your days with — and she can be a great listener, too. Does she sound like the one for you? Ask about April today.
Stormy
Breed: Australian cattle dog mix
Age: 1 year old
We have a quiet storm coming in. Stormy is the perfect definition of “big things come in small packages.” This compact queen is the perfect mix of energy and love. At first, Stormy came from Oklahoma as part of a partner transfer. She was adopted very quickly, but those homes unfortunately did not pan out for her. Both were of no fault of Stormy’s, but she persisted and worked on her skills in the hopes of finding that family she’s been searching for.
She’s been described as a mood ring: sometimes she’s nervous around new people, but sometimes she’s excited to meet them. She appreciates your patience and time as she works through her feelings. She knows “sit, touch, down and place,” and she really walks well on a leash.
She loves to run, play with toys and be a snuggle buddy. She is bouncy and full of personality. She asks that she be your only dog in the house just so she can soak up all of your love. She would also like to be in a home with a yard she can run around in. Apartment living is not for this queen. She would also prefer a home with children over the age of 6, so everyone can feel comfortable with her bouncy/shy tendencies.
