Miss Morgan is friendly, playful and fun. She has never met a person she didn’t like, and there is no place on Earth she’d rather be than right by your side.

She is working on her house-training skills, so she just needs a little extra time to get settled in a new home. Morgan is a typical athletic hound who loves to explore her surroundings and follow her nose wherever it goes. She’s taken a training class here at Wayside, so she knows all sorts of things already. She can’t wait to show her tricks off.

She’s become quite the staff and volunteer favorite, earning her breaks from the shelter for things like field trips. She rides perfectly in a car and loves going on walks in the nearby trails. She’s a big fan of toys, and she will never turn down a game of fetch. She does want to be your one and only animal in the home, only so she can have you all to herself. For the right family, she will be such a fun and lovable dog, ready for lots of new experiences and adventures.

Honey Mustard

Breed: Domestic shorthair, buff colored

Age: 4 years old

Are you looking for something sweet, yet zesty? Look no further than Honey Mustard — the cat, of course. The Notorious HM, as the staff affectionately calls him, has made quite the name for himself at Wayside.

He has been enrolled in Wayside’s cat behavior program to work on his adjustment to shelter life, and he has improved. We learned HM loves to play and enjoys attention when it is on his terms. He does want to be your buddy, so be prepared for him to hang out with you as much as he can.

He is front declawed, but don’t worry, he can still knead some pretty good biscuits at the biscuit factory. Really, he’s looking for a patient home that can understand his quirks, and some cat savvy people. He also prefers to be your only animal in the home because he wants to soak up all of your love. HM also asks for a home without children or energetic teens.

So, if you sound like the right home for this sweet, tangy man, ask for Honey Mustard, the Notorious HM!

LeeLee

Breed: Pit bull terrier mix

Age: 2 years old

Picture this: Cozy evenings at home on your favorite couch with a caring, loyal companion at your side. (She also happens to be stunningly beautiful, by the way).

Peace and quiet and perfect comfort. How does that sound? LeeLee, at pawsitivetailskc.org, hopes that is your idea of a good time, because it’s also hers. She is a gorgeous girl who is looking for company and consistency in a relaxed home. Don’t get her wrong, she does great with other dogs and cats, and she makes her own fun playing and horsing around.

She just wants to be able to count on you to keep things chill so she can feel protected from the crazy world. Like how we feel when we turn off the news or stop doom-scrolling, right? LeeLee is house trained and would do best with older children 12 and up. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on flea/tick & heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $175.
