Predictions for dogs, cat: Adorable, with a strong probability of playful and cuddly
Star
Breed: Pit bull terrier mix
Age: 1 year old
Star is playful, affectionate, smart and tons of fun. She has so much life to live and love to give — and that’s where you come in. She came to Wayside last summer from a shelter in Tennessee.
All her life has been in the shelter environment, but she does enjoy any chance she can get at real home life. That includes relaxing on couches, playing with her toys and even cuddling up with her favorite humans. She’s a sensitive soul who is still learning all about life, so positive reinforcement is crucial for her. Star is an athletic, energetic queen who likes to stay busy, so she needs plenty of opportunities for both physical and mental activities in her new home.
She hopes you have another energetic, high-energy dog for her to romp around with, because that’s her favorite thing. She’s been dreaming of having a home for as long as she can remember. Please wish upon a Star, and come meet her today.
Freckles
Age: 1 year old
Breed: Domestic shorthair mix (tortie)
Freckles is a beautiful girl hanging out in a foster home right now, since she was a little stressed at the Wayside Waifs shelter. She’s independent and loving. You’ll often find Freckles lounging in her favorite chair or watching the birds from her window. She’s past that needy kitten age and can be left alone, but she loves to play.
Her foster mom reports that she can play fetch with her toy mouse, and will even bring it back to her and run after it. Freckles does prefer a quieter home and dislikes loud noises, so she prefers an adults-only household. Call our pet adoptions campus at 816-986-4426 to set up a time to meet her.
Bobbie
Age: 11 months
Breed: Siberian husky
Bobbie is the sweetest blue-eyed pup. And her boopity-boop tail makes her unique. She loves kids, cats and other dogs, though her enthusiasm might be a bit much for nervous animals and very small children. She’s been through a lot. A kind soul contacted the Pet Connection about her on a cold day in December. Someone had cut off her tail. Since then, she’s been through a couple of surgeries, and now she’s at a foster home, living a happy life. Bobbie loves to fetch, is very food motivated and quick to learn.
