Tallgrass Creek, a continuing care retirement community in Overland Park, has opened a $15 million residential building called Meadowlark Terrace. The 87-unit apartment building features 10 floor plans that vary in size and style, including two-bedroom and one-bedroom units. Tallgrass said 91 percent of the units have been sold.

Tallgrass Creek currently has about 330 residents. The new facility can accommodate about 140 residents.

The facility, which is managed by Maryland-based Erickson Living, said the expansion resulted into 20 jobs being added.
