Hot air balloons and more coming to Waterfest in Excelsior Springs. Here’s when
Excelsior Springs is gearing up to host its annual summer extravaganza next month equipped with free hot air balloon rides, live country music and community-wide water fights.
Now in its 43rd year, Waterfest is set to take over downtown Excelsior Springs June 26-27, drawing in thousands of residents and visitors from across the Kansas City metro, organizers predict.
The two-day festival will feature more than 90 vendor booths lining Broadway with arts, crafts, clothing, novelties, gifts and food. It will also have a variety of activities and events throughout the weekend, including a live performance by country musician Josh Collins.
“This festival is about celebrating the spirit of Excelsior Springs,” the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce said in a news release. “Waterfest brings together families, visitors, businesses, entertainers, nonprofits and volunteers in a way that truly showcases our community.”
