Community offers help to family devastated by fire near Jameson, Mo.
Residents across northwest Missouri are helping a family devastated by a Saturday night fire that killed three children and injured two others near Jameson, Mo.
“It’s a small community and we are receiving clothes, sheets and towels,” said Angie Fuller, a family friend.
Donations are being taken to the Pit Stop, 28309 U.S. 69 in Winston, Mo.
Those wishing to contribute money can send donations to BTC Bank, attention Curtis-Uthe Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 35, Gallatin, MO 64640.
“All the donations — money, checks, cash — going into that account will help pay for the three funerals and other expenses, such as hospital bills,” said Cary Lyn Uthe, a family member.
The family also is asking those making donations to include their names and addresses so they can be thanked at a later date.
Two GoFundMe accounts have been established at www.gofundme.com/kohnnar-kouper and www.gofundme.com/lx0m30.
The fire killed three children: Jazmin Curtis, 6, Kohnnar Uthe, 2, and Kouper Rhoades, 9 months.
