A wreck in Kansas City, Kan., on Tuesday sent three people to a hospital, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The two-vehicle crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas Avenue and the 18th Street Expressway. Investigators believed one of the vehicles may have run a red light.

Some of the three people taken to a hospital appeared to have serious injuries, according to the patrol.

The patrol continued to investigate the wreck.
