Olathe woman drowned in Elk River in southwest Missouri
A 25-year-old Olathe woman drowned Friday night in the Elk River in southwest Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Candi M. Srivisay was swimming in the river near a dam in McDonald County about 11 p.m., according to the patrol. She appeared to have been pinned against the base of the dam and drowned.
Srivisay was pronounced dead at the scene early Saturday morning. She was taken to the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson.
