Boy on bicycle struck on U.S. 40

A 14-year-old boy on a bicycle was seriously injured Monday evening when he was struck by a vehicle on U.S. 40 in Grain Valley.

Grain Valley police said the incident occurred about 5 p.m. near Kirby Road. The boy was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Police are investigating.
