‘Taps at the Tower’ returns to World War I Museum

The solemn notes of the bugle piece taps will sound every day at sunset for a week beginning Sunday at the National World War I Museum and Memorial.

The third annual Taps at the Tower on the deck of the Liberty Memorial will be about 8:45 p.m., but the public is welcome to enjoy the grounds at the memorial before and after. In the event of rain, taps will be played inside at the glass bridge that leads to the museum. The last night will be Saturday June 25.

Partnering organizations include McConnell Air Force Base, the Overland Park and Kansas City police departments, local Boy Scout troops and junior ROTC organizations.

For more information, go to the museum’s website.
