Kansas City teen injured in hit-and-run on Meyer Boulevard

Kansas City police investigated a hit-and-run that left a teenage bicyclist injured Tuesday night on East Meyer Boulevard near South Benton Avenue.

The teen was hit by a black SUV while crossing Meyer Boulevard about 7:30 p.m., according to police.

The SUV did not stop and was last seen at Meyer Boulevard and Prospect Avenue. The vehicle should have front end damage and possibly red paint marks from the impact, police said.

The injured teen was taken to a hospital and was listed in serious condition.
