Munday on Monday: ‘Wet floor’ sign

The “Caution” sign — a triangle

Whose words (though terse) implore:

Beware the pesky water which

Had spilled across the floor.

And dutiful, I stepped with care —

A curving path avoiding

The spot which, slick and hazardous,

Was more than just annoying.

Precautions, though, all came to naught

For me, a klutzy rover;

The “Wet Floor” sign itself was what

I tripped and stumbled over.
