Man killed in KC bus collision identified

Kansas City police on Tuesday identified a man struck and killed by a city bus Monday night as Kenneth L. Cowans.

Police said that Cowans, 59, of Kansas City, was attempting to walk across Bruce R. Watkins Drive just south of Meyer Boulevard when he was struck by the northbound bus.

No one else was injured and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
