Authorities identify Independence woman who died in Jan. 12 house fire.

Authorities have identified a 66-year-old woman who died Jan. 12 in a house fire in Independence as Bonnie Draper.

Firefighters found Draper’s body while battling the fire inside the residence in the 14300 block of East Covington Road. Draper was found in the kitchen.

The cause of the fire is listed as undetermined. It originated in a large accumulation of personal items, according to the Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office, who investigated the fire.
