Police identify man killed in motorcycle crash

Independence officials have released the name of a 31-year-old man who died after a motorcycle crash just after midnight Friday.

Gabriel Spiva of Independence died after the wreck on Walnut Street just east of Hocker Avenue. His motorcycle hit a parked vehicle.

Spiva died at a hospital.
