Teenager is killed in ATV wreck in Independence
A 15-year-old died in an ATV wreck Thursday in Independence, according to authorities.
The crash occurred on private property near Hidden Valley and R.D. Mize roads when the ATV rolled over onto the 15-year-old driver, pinning him underneath, police said.
The teenager died at the scene.
Police said the crash appeared to have occurred between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The exact time was unclear because the driver was alone.
