Authorities seek driver of truck that killed Ohio man in Lenexa hit and run
Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident along Interstate 35 in Lenexa.
Steven H. Schuster, 19, of Pataskal, Ohio, was killed when he was struck by a southbound truck just before 6 p.m. in the non-traffic area between I-35 and the ramp to U.S. 69.
Authorities said the truck was southbound on the interstate, when it cut through the so-called “gore area,” struck Schuster and continued south on U.S. 69.
Officials are looking for a silver Toyota Tundra with damage to its hood, and possibly dealer tags. Authorities released no other information concerning why Schuster was there between the two roadways.
