Rain and a threat of flash flooding continued Friday night.
Rain and a threat of flash flooding continued Friday night.

More rain Friday night will add to the threat of flash flooding left behind by a series of strong storms that blew through the Kansas City area this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Parts of the Kansas City area could expect another 1.5 inches of rain Friday night after 2 to 6 inches fell during the week.

The weather service warned of flooding in many parts of the Kansas City area.

Up to an inch of rain fell on the Northland during a short time Friday, the weather service said.

Skies were expected to clear over the weekend, with only scattered showers Saturday and dry weather on Sunday.
