Route 9 closed in Platte County for water main break

Missouri Route 9 in Platte County will be closed until noon Wednesday because of a water main break, according to the Platte County Sheriff’s Office.

The closure was announced about 8 p.m. Tuesday at Platte Hills and Cadwallader roads, north of Parkville. The highway was closed in both directions.

The Missouri Department of Transportation had earlier described the road as being damaged by a sinkhole.
