Closures of I-35 and I-435 planned this weekend at Johnson County Gateway interchange
Demolition at the Johnson County Gateway interchange will close portions of Interstate 35 and Interstate 435 this weekend.
The closures were scheduled to begin Thursday at 8 p.m. with all lanes of northbound I-35 closed at I-435 until Friday at 5 a.m.
On Friday I-435 will be closed for the weekend at I-35, with eastbound lanes closed Friday at 8 p.m. and westbound lanes at 10 p.m. Both directions are to open again Monday at 5 a.m.
All lanes of northbound I-35 at I-435 will be closed overnight Friday and Saturday, closing at 9 p.m. each night and opening at 10 a.m. the next morning.
