Kansas City road works: Interstate 435 to close overnight at Roe Avenue this weekend

Interstate 435 at Roe Avenue will be closed overnight this weekend, one direction at a time, so workers can prepare for a new bridge over the highway.

Lane restrictions and ramp closures will begin Thursday on westbound I-435 at Roe and Nall avenues.

All eastbound lanes of I-435 will close before Nall Avenue by 10 p.m. Friday and will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.

All westbound lanes of I-435 before Roe Avenue by 10 p.m. Saturday and will reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Detours will be marked. The closures are necessary so crews can set girders over the highway for the new Roe Avenue bridge.
