Munday on Monday: A quick question
A quick question
In asking a question, rely on this trick:
Just preface by saying, “My question is quick.”
For who in their dudgeon could tend to suppose
A quick little question might ever impose?
I’ve found that the hearer is far less inclined
To answer your question, to spare you such time,
If you spell out how complex your question is framed:
The first of nine parts, with rebuttal then aimed
At follow-up questions — a lot is involved —
Be forty-five minutes till all is resolved.
More likely to questions an answer ensues
If asking, you turn to this “quick” little ruse.
