Munday on Monday: Product expiration date

A savvy shopper? Yes, indeed;

To check before I buy, my creed.

In grocery aisle, such time I’ll take

To check the expiration date

Of everything I choose to buy!

And yet, no matter how I try,

I’m really not a shopping whiz:

I never know what day it is

Today, which means I cannot tell

If item is too old to sell.

My sense of time is far from great;

But still, I’ll check the product date.
