Edwardsville fire chief on paid leave

The fire chief of the city of Edwardsville in Wyandotte County is on paid administrative leave for a personnel matter, the city manager said Friday.

Kevin Schuler has been an employee of the city since 2002 and was promoted to fire chief in March.

City Manager Michael Webb said the issue under review does not involve any criminal activity.

Schuler could not be reached for comment.
