How many books could a woodchuck read if a woodchuck could read books?

One of the furry rodents made an effort to find out Friday afternoon in Overland Park.

The woodchuck was chased by a dachshund into a house in the 11800 block of Century Lane, according to police.

The animal made its way to the home’s den and onto a bookshelf.

An Overland Park animal control officer corralled the unharmed creature and later released it outdoors.
