Motorcyclist killed in wreck on Truman Road in Independence
A motorcyclist died in a wreck that also injured two other people Saturday in Independence, according to police.
The crash occurred about 6:30 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Truman Road struck a vehicle that was turning onto westbound Truman from South Home Avenue.
After that crash, the motorcyclist was struck by a second eastbound motorcycle.
Both motorcyclists were taken to a hospital. The motorcyclist injured in the first wreck later died.
The driver of the vehicle that was turning onto Truman Road was treated at the scene for minor injuries, police said.
Police were investigating the accident.
