Munday on Monday: Climbers

Intrepid climbers topped the news

And earned such well-deserved reviews;

Confronted by sheer cliff of rock,

They made it to the very top.

The rest of us? Our daily lives

Adventure (of a sort) provides…

We draw no notice, looks or glares;

We climb each day, but mostly stairs.

And truly if it’s not too bold —

The sheer we face? Sheer gall, we’re told.

Consider thus the daily plights

Of those of us afraid of heights.
