Woman killed in Olathe collision identified as 44-year-old Gardner resident
The Johnson County Sheriff’s office on Sunday identified the woman killed in a Friday evening rush-hour crash as Tina Bokay, 44, of Gardner.
The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. near West 151st Street and Old 56 Highway in Johnson County.
Bokay was driving south in a sedan on Old 56 Highway when she lost control and crossed over into the northbound lanes, striking a pickup truck head-on.
Bokay was pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile passenger in the sedan as well as the driver of the pickup sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. They were taken to hospitals for treatment.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s office continues to investigate the crash.
