Bridge repair projects to close major commuting route in Kansas City, North for a month

Bridge repair work in Kansas City, North, will close a major commuting route, which is also a popular route to and from Kansas City International Airport.

Crews will close the ramps that connect U.S. 169 with Interstate 29 so that bridges can be repaired.

The ramp from northbound U.S. 169 to northbound Interstate 29 will close on April 18 and remain closed through May 22.

The ramp from southbound Interstate 29 to southbound U.S. 169 will close on April 25 and remain closed through May 29.

During the closures, traffic will be detoured along Interstate 635 and Missouri 9. Transportation officials urge drivers to find alternate routes if possible.
