The fourth and final streetcar arrived in Kansas City on Wednesday evening, about 12 hours sooner than expected.

The arrival of the streetcar from its New York manufacturing plant is keeping with the schedule for a public opening in early May. Streetcars will start carrying passengers May 6. Planning is under way for a rolling street party May 6 and 7.

The streetcars will run along a 2.2-mile stretch of downtown between the River Market and Union Station.
