Two patients at Children’s Mercy have died of flu-related complications, hospital says

Children’s Mercy Hospital confirmed Friday that two of its young patients have died of flu-related complications.

No further information about the cases was released.

Nationwide, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported 45 flu deaths among children this season. During the 2013-1014 flu season, there were 109 pediatric flu deaths nationwide.
