Motorcyclist is killed in Independence crash

A motorcyclist was killed late Tuesday in a crash in Independence.

Police said the two-vehicle wreck occurred about 10:35 p.m. near Forest Avenue and White Oak Street.

The northbound motorcycle struck a westbound car that was making a left turn from White Oak, police said.

The driver of the car was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
