Munday on Monday: Spring haiku
Spring haiku
Temperature perplexed:
Hot one day, then cold the next.
Is this season hexed?
.
Squirrels salivate
As you plant tomatoes — wait!
Ravaged crop, their fate.
.
Winter now recedes;
Yellow blossoms in stampedes!
Curse it, though — they’re weeds.
.
Thundercloud now struts;
Weathercasters all go nuts.
Rains cause such a fuss!
.
See the mower scoff!
Yanks your shoulder almost off;
All it does is cough.
.
Equinox is past;
Balmy days will come at last.
Let’s dismiss the class!
