KCK woman killed in turnpike wreck

A 25-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman was killed Wednesday when the car she was driving struck the rear of a maintenance truck that was painting the highway.

The Kansas Turnpike Authority identified the woman as Urmila Sharma and said she was wearing a seat belt. The accident occurred just before noon 21 miles from the Oklahoma state line.
