Gunman robs pharmacy in Lee’s Summit
A Lee’s Summit pharmacist handed over prescription medication at gunpoint Thursday night.
A man approached the pharmacy counter inside the Walgreens at 330 S.W. Ward Road about 9:45 p.m., according to Lee’s Summit police. He produced a handgun and demanded prescription medication. The robber fled the store after the pharmacist complied.
Officers said the man may have entered a light-colored sport utility vehicle.
Police did not provide a detailed description of the robber.
