Forum on what it’s like to be Muslim in Kansas City

A forum on what it is like to be Muslim in the Kansas City area will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pierson Auditorium on the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus.

The panel will include Zoya Khan, outreach coordinator for Muslim Youth of America; Mahnaz Shabbir, who has been active with the Interfaith Council; Barry Grissom, U.S. attorney for Kansas; Jack Cashill, executive editor for Ingram’s Magazine; and Kansas Rep. Dick Jones.

Admission is $15 for students, $25 for others, $45 for couples.

This event is sponsored by KCPT and American Public Square, an organization dedicated to fostering civil conversation about polarizing issues.
