Firefighters battle blaze at Mission Hills home

Johnson County fire crews from multiple cities responded to a house fire Tuesday afternoon at a home in Mission Hills.

The fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m. at a house in the 2100 block of Drury Lane.

Crews from the Overland Park Fire Department and Consolidated Fire District No. 2 in Prairie Village were at the scene.

No injuries were reported in the fire, according to Fire District No. 2 chief Tony Lopez.

A family of three lives at the house but was not home when the fire broke out, Lopez said. A dog was home but escaped the fire.
