Temps to return to near normal in KC this weekend
It’s going to be another cold day in Kansas City as another round of Arctic air pushes its way into the region.
But there’s good news for the weekend: temperatures are expected to reach near normal.
Highs Friday in the Kansas City area are expected in the teens with some areas reaching the lower 20s, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to drop back into the single digits Friday night, with wind chills dropping below zero.
But Saturday and Sunday? Relatively balmy, with highs in the lower to middle 30s.
There is a chance of precipitation Sunday. A wintry mix is expected with minor accumulations possible, including the potential for a light glazing of ice, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday’s temperatures are expected to dip, with highs in the upper 20s in the Kansas City area.
Temperatures should slowly return back to normal, if not a bit above, by later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.
