Kansas City expected to reach into the lower 90s Tuesday
Don’t let the clouds fool you, it’s going to be a hot Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 90s Tuesday afternoon. Add in the humidity and the heat index will make it feel like the upper 90s or lower 100s degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, Mo.
This could be the first time this year that temperatures have broken 90 degrees at Kansas City International Airport.
Because this is the first very warm temperatures of the season, people are being warned to take it slow and have plenty of fluids. The National Weather Service said early season heat can sneak up on everyone, including children and the elderly.
The warm weather is expected to continue Wednesday with highs in the lower 90s and the heat index in the upper 90s.
There’s a chance for Thunderstorms Thursday, with the possibility of severe storms with large hail and damaging winds.
