Patricia Cahill renominated by president for public broadcasting post

President Barack Obama on Thursday nominated Patricia Cahill of Kansas City to another term on the board of directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Cahill, former general manager of KCUR-FM radio in Kansas City, was first named to the national board in 2009. She served as chairwoman of the board from 2012 to 2014.

Cahill has also taught journalism and speech communication at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She worked in public radio for more than 40 years, retiring from KCUR in 2012.
