Raytown High School officials investigate online threats

Raytown High School students stayed on their buses after arriving at the school Monday morning because of threats seen in text messages.

Raytown police alerted school district officials to the threats, which parents called police about at 6:27 a.m., police said. School administrators initially kept students on their buses but later led the students into school, where their regular Monday schedules resumed, administrators said.

The text message contained a threat to students at “Rhs” high school, police said. Several other schools across the country nation also received the threat through social media, Raytown police said.
