Below-zero wind chills expected Monday morning, more snow on Tuesday
Wind chills will be 10 to 20 degrees below zero in the Kansas City area on Monday morning, according to a forecast by the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill.
More snow is expected late Monday night and throughout the day on Tuesday. Another 2 to 4 inches could fall on top of the Sunday morning’s snow. But temperatures are expected to climb back into the upper 20s on Tuesday.
Accumulations ranged from 0.3 inches in Lenexa to 0.6 inches in Overland Park and 1.6 inches at Kansas City International Airport. The temperature dropped to 2 degrees at KCI on Sunday morning.
