Tennessee man fatally injured in I-70 crash in Oak Grove
A 31-year-old Tennessee man died early Tuesday from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 70 in Oak Grove.
The Missouri Highway Patrol identified him as Marlon J. Cook of Goodlettsville, Tenn.
Cook was riding in a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Hendersonville, Tenn., man.
They were headed west on I-70 about 11 p.m. Monday when a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Charleston, Ill., man overtook them, and the two vehicles collided.
The rear-end collision sent Cook’s vehicle off the right side of the road where it overturned.
The other vehicle traveled off the left side of the road.
Cook died at a hospital about 1 1/2 hours after the crash.
