Northtown Opry damaged but not destroyed in North Kansas City fire
A country and bluegrass music hall in North Kansas City was damaged when firefighters had to battle a blaze next door on Sunday morning.
Crews were called to the Northtown Opry’s address in the 1400 block of Swift Street about 9:15 a.m. It was soon clear that the fire was in an adjacent building immediately to the north. Heavy smoke billowed out of the structure. There were no reported injuries. The cause is under investigation.
The front door of the Opry was damaged by firefighters needing access.
