Caution Zone: Southbound U.S. 169 over Broadway Bridge to close temporarily this weekend
Southbound traffic over the Broadway Bridge in downtown Kansas City will be closed Friday night through Sunday morning.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said the closure is necessary for a water valve replacement.
The road will be closed at 7 p.m. Friday and is to reopen by 5 a.m. Sunday. The area affected is south of Wheeler Downtown Airport to Woodswether Road. Northbound traffic will not be affected.
Traffic from the airport will be detoured via northbound U.S. 169 to southbound Missouri 9.
