Driver is killed in crash on Missouri 291 in River Bend
A 26-year-old Kansas City man died Monday night and his passenger was injured when the car they were riding crashed in River Bend.
The Missouri Highway Patrol identified the victim as Dakota Black, 26, of Kansas City. His passenger, Nicholas L. Baldin, 22, of Independence, sustained minor injuries.
The car crashed about 9:35 p.m. while headed north on Missouri 291 and Black failed to make a turn onto Missouri 210. The car traveled off the road and into an embankment.
Baldin and Black were taken to a hospital.
